Mon-Fri: I'm riding my 6-7yr old trusty Muddy Fox Alu-Lazer. Look closely enough, and you'll see it's modded with: (cheapo) suspension forks; road gearing; rear carrier+panniers; ultra-light carbon bars + Hope stem.

But, come the weekend I ditch my mild-mannered mid-week persona, don the lycra/Gore-Tex/body armour, and ride this beast:

It's as lush to ride as it looks. Smoother ride than your mum!

There's not as many hills around this way as I'd like. So, it mostly gets ridden in the woods around Watford. But, every month, or so, I go MTB'ing with my chums in S.Wales.
Going up them hills is hard work, like you'd never believe.
But, coming down them is such a rush. I can't compare it to anything.
Especially when you've just nailed a particularly technical part.

I reckon I've spent £2K on my bike+equipment in the last 6mths.
