Hi from a newbie

Postby Catsman » Sat 17 Mar 2018, 7:07 am

I found a reference to this board on Google and signed up. I am definitely in the “older” by time age (70+) but like to think I am young and open enough to mix it with all age groups. We all age but don’t have to grow up,

I have a PS4 and intend to return to games after a long absence. Long being a “space invaders” addict in pubs around Sheffield U K. I cut my teeth on a Commodore Pet and graduated to an Apple ][ ...long live Steve Jibs...whoops.

I am hoping to find others to mentor me in games requiring thinking RPG rather than dexterity. Although both skills are challenging these days. Interested in the RPG games, especially Civilization VI, Witcher, Assassin’s Creed etc.

Enjoy a laugh but rarely a British pint as I have returned to Australia.

Any help appreciated and I look forward to finding out what I can contribute to and receive from the board.

Cheers
Catsman

Welcome to OAPs, there's a variety of games members play on here, with games like yourself and shooters and racing games etc. There's a few multiplayer events that take place on various nights for Battlefield, Burnout, GT Sport and hopefully Battlefront 2 again.

Reflexes don't matter as at the end of the day it's about having a laugh and enjoying yourself.

Hi catman. A number of folk are playing Monster Hunter and that seems to be a fun, group RPG thing. I've just come off a 8 month Dragon Age Inquisition binge (I put in over 120 hours including the DLC) and loved every minute of it. Having detoxed on some nonsense I am starting on Horizon Zero Dawn which is no less an RPG and looks beautiful now I have HDR working on my TV (thanks Mane).
