Reposting this from a discord discussion , Asylum101 has passed away. He was an ever present fixture here at OAP for as long as I can remember. He will certainly be missed.

"Hi all, for all you long time veterans, my brother Tim passed away last night in his sleep, you might know him as Asylum, he was a wonderful man and would go out of his way to help anyone that needed it. Thank you all for being part of his life over the years. I thought I'd let you all know as I know a few of us have met up in the past and would appreciate being told." posted by predator101

I went in IRC this week for the first time in ages. Chatted with him and Kex he sounded happy and in great spirits, so this came as a big shock. Always fun to be with, with such a big heart, he will be missed.

Had the pleasure of serving with him in Elderdom. My thoughts go to his nearest and dearest.

This is so sad and upsetting. Thoughts go to all of Tims family and friends.

We will be remembering him tonight on Breakpoint.

i too will raise a glass to someone i spent ages chatting to in the deadzone on a friday night and excahnge many messages with on the old IRC chat. He was always a nice guy to have in your chat and your room. Sadly i never met him in person and i am saddened to hear of his passing.

Its interesting to read turboslugs comment about him being in the great deadzone in the sky. Like the socom chat we can no longer hear him but maybe he can hear us. Whatever the next level is i hope hes having a drink and a laugh as he did with us

I love that V - "The Great Deadzone in the sky" it has tones of Pink Floyd's "Great Gig in the sky" about it... (and I love that too!)
