Glad to see so many brewers. And congrats on first your brew. It looks mighty fine. I'm always surprised more people don't brew as it's easy and cheap.

Anyway I'm rapidly reaching the end of my 40pint keg of Woodfords and I'm looking for a good ginger beer recipe. Recommendations appreciated.

Tonight I will be starting my next batch of cider (girly cider) On the rocks Raspberry & lime cider http://www.goodlifehomebrew.com/on-the- ... -cider.php

Building up the alcohol content to wean my wife onto scrumpy eventually (Roguetrooper's influence)

Feind, not sure if anyone has feedback on this ginger beer http://www.goodlifehomebrew.com/coopers-ginger-beer.php it is widely available. I like your sig

Can't believe 40 pints almost finished in 5-6 weeks (but with some parties)

Thanks Fazer. I've brewed the coopers a few times, a good brew. I was looking for something a bit spicier.
It's amazing how easy it is to drink 40 pints :)

I've made that one a couple of times, the first batch ended up so strong that you could feel yourself getting pissed as you drank it, awesome stuff. The second batch wasn't anywhere near as strong.

Still tasty though.

you got to be joking mate 8O

I had 6 months off work (operation) when my two eldest were 1 and 3, i've got to be honest i absolutely loved looking after them. :Y:
I fully understand why so many parents find it difficult returning to work and handing over the childcare responsobility to someone else as i myself found it a little upsetting
