Nice Sav, good job. I bought a bike this summer and am getting into it.

Feeling a bit sore in the knees today but I'm ahead of the curve to notch up 5000km for 2014 :)

I have 22.3km left to reach my target of 5000 this year. I'm going for a ride with a mate tomorrow to finish it off :)

Good job Sav :Y:

You do know at some point you're going to have to turn round and head for home?

Notched up a leisurely 40 or so today to get past the 5000 mark and complete my goal for the year. Now what to do next year......

Well done mate. Not ridden in a couple of weeks, and my legs ache more than when I ride! Back to normal on Monday, so that will be nice.

Anyone use Zwift? I started using it last week, should bolster my winter riding (although it's summer here so I should really go outside).

Initial thoughts are favourable, did a 1 hour plus ride this morning and it did help pass the time.

I use zwift a fair bit through out winter and still now as the training programs are good. Especially with the new smart trainers. Not happy they keep putting the costs up. There are other companies now knocking out these vr worlds.

Over 9 years between posts! Hi FB, nice to see you still lurking about.

You can talk Hasta, you're hardly verbose!

And where better to find a long standing video game forum member posting than in a thread about bikes.

Yeah yeah I do still slip on in now n then just to keep my eye on you all :D
I do cycle a fair bit (~7500m a year), I think I use the time I used to spend shooting folks to ride n race now :D . I’m still waiting for the resurrection of socom 1 or 2 or similar to relight my interest. :tumbleweed:

I'm on track for 10000kms this year. Racing is good, I race with the local Vets. I'm not much good but it beats sitting at home and we have some awesome countryside to race in.

Nice one sav, sounds like you share a fair passion for it also. Do you link up to Strava for recording data ?

I tend to ride so much so I can eat more cake

I used to be a keen road cyclist back home in the UK but since living in the US haven't cycled for years. Until last weekend, when I went camping with some friends and we hired some mountain bikes. I fell off!
To elaborate, I was passing a slower guy on his left, and as I was about to do so, he also wanted to pull out to his left to pass someone. So naturally, as I'm used to doing, I lifted my right hand to wave him out when he slowed suddenly, so I had to pull the brakes on with my remaining left hand. In the US the front brake is on the left, not on the right like in left hand driving countries. So, over I went!
