Universal remote controls

Postby DaddyR » Thu 03 Dec 2015, 11:07 pm

Although I've just got a PS4 remote I also need a universal remote as the amp control is dieing.

I got a One For All 4 for £10 from Asda that is relatively simple. But I've not opened it yet. It might be too simple.

I've also ordered a Logitech Harmony Smart Control in Amazon's sale. It gets generally good reviews with the occasional view that it fails to sync with WiFi. I worry it will be complex for the family.

So come on OAP, any better solutions out there. Or any fans of either of the things I've bought?

Ah, I remember the days of my first universal controller...

It was absolutely brilliant and would operate any device without any codes or programming necessary.

I never had to put batteries in it or look for it as it was always where it was needed.

I've been able to find an image of one and the good news is that they are still available

Generally they are easy to come by...
