Hope all you old gits are getting ready for full lockdown.

If not, take it easy out there.

Both my work and Mrs M's work have implemented a "Work From Home" rule. As have many other companies here.

Although QLD seems to have the lowest number of cases in Australia, probably due to less populace and more open spaces, not all crammed into small areas like those holes Melbourne and Sydney. ;)

I'm working from home. We haven't seemed to have made the headlines yet about being one of these gaming companies that are having their staff work from home, but maybe we think that making a big deal about it isn't needed.

Well, my missus and myself were told yesterday, along with the other 20 staff at the childcare facility where we work, that when we are forced to close, we will all get 5 days sick pay...and that's it, made redundant. In the middle of a pandemic. :N:

I'm a/the chef. No chance of finding work during all this. Fml :|

A few obvious scoungers at my place have already grabbed their free 7 day paid vacation (hoping they get sick when they come back) meanwhile I got panic buying arseholes to deal with, others bitching because the shelves are stripped so bare it looks worse than christmas eve and what the company says i'm going to get is a total work of fiction they pull out their arse 36 hours in advance of my reality check.
was thinking about telling some stupid woman looking for eggs that they're generally found under a chicken

That sucks dude.

I thought they were trying to keep the country going there by making sure people that were required to work kept working, which meant childcare/schools had to stay open otherwise workers wouldn't be able to work as they'd be looking after their kids instead?

Stay safe and stay indoors OAP, especially our older members.

I didn't realise people here were also hoarding Inhalers till i tried to get one yesterday (mine had run out) and they'd sold out - you don't need a prescription to get them here (well you do need an initial one) you can just buy them over the chemist dispensary counter.

hoarding inhalers is more stupid than hoarding toilet rolls. They have an expiration date and each one has hundreds of doses in it so its totally pointless. Then people that need them cant get one. I just don’t get this hoarding mentality at all, its making life harder for everyone, the “me first” mentality that is so prevalent around here is baffling

I hope you find what you need, stay safe everyone, stay positive and keep busy
