This was my first exploration of the OAP Podcast, and I have to say you guys were funny... the discussion really did go all over the place.

I have listened to about 20mins so far (you don't half go on  ). I must say, it seems good so far and I got a mention at the start, which always helps.

Really enjoyed this. Bit shaky at first with the odd connection issue, which cant be helped but do add to the charm. But i stuck with it and before long you really got into it producing some nicely flowing witty banter.
The advice on supermarket pants was something i hope to be able to pass on to my future grandchildren. Wisdom like this should not be lost through the years.
D* do you remember the follow up to wizball called wizkid, really strange breakout hybrid with a real catchy tune?
Anyway well done to all

This was the podcast that almost did'nt happen, first bytor could'nt get the recording software to work and then drop'd out. I found it and got it working then after the first 5 mins did'nt record. And then the 5 mins 8O silence when we were trying to work out who was going to host before starting.

But it came together in the end

(only just got round to listening to this)

 I missed the retro gaming edition! At least I was there in spirit. ;)

So i'll add my comments here:

IIRC the "shooty" game was probably on a Binotone or Grandstand "pong" unit rather than the Atari VCS as that didn't have a light gun.

The thin handhelds were most likely the Nintendo Game & Watch (or a cheap copy). Not sure where the "watch" part came from, it was more of a clock as it didn't have a strap and was far too big to wear on a wrist.
edit: just realised you've covered this later on, was typing as I listened.

As for Knight Lore - that was actually ready for release before Sabre Wulf but Ultimate held the release back till after SW as they felt it would have affected sales of SW due to it looking so advanced.

Wizball - one of my favourite C64 games, the Amiga version was just as good and i'd love to see it on WiiWare Virtual Console.

Gamestation over here also sells retro stuff but it is extremelly overpriced. The one thing I really want from there though is the rubber/plastic X-wing pilot helmet to wear while playing Rebel Assault on my GameCube. Actually i'd never asked the price but if it's anything like the one on that site I won't bother!

YAY! My sig got a mention! :D

It's a Quickshot II and D* you plank it's a Konix Speedking and you've asked me before via PMs on PSN.

oh and a few more mentions wouldn't have gone amiss. Other than that, best OAPodcast yet. :)

I think I've got them all on my NAS but I'm not near it now. The question is why? Is it for an alibi?

Strewth I can't believe this was 9 years ago!
